ITEMS NEEDED TO COMPLETE THE LOOK
Instructions:
Coin Belt
Step 1: Lay your coin wrap (right side up) out in front of you. Fold the 2nd to the bottom row of coins over the base fabric so the bottom edge of the coins meets the top edge of the bottom row of coins. Pin the fold in place. Turn the scarf over and topstitch right along the fold, making sure to keep the area free of coins while you are sewing. (You can also do this by hand by whipstitching the top edge of the fold to the base fabric.)
Step 2: Repeat step 1 with all of the remaining rows of coins. If you have a five row coin wrap, fold and sew:
- row 4 to row 5
- row 3 to row 4
- row 2 to row 3
- row 1 to row 2
If you have a four row coin wrap, fold and sew:
- row 3 to row 4
- row 2 to row 3
- row 1 to row 2
Coin Bra Top
Step 3: Fold the other wrap in half lengthwise. Center it at the base of your bra in back and bring the ends in front crossing over each bra cup (spread wrap over each cup to cover). Cross once at the center between your cups and bring the remaining ends up around your neck as shown. You can either tie or pin them in place at the base of your neck.
Step 4: Wrap the coin belt around your hips and tie in place. Congratulations! Your ensemble is finished.
For a cabaret look try using beaded wraps. Either way you'll have a great looking versatile accessory for solo or troupe performances.
