Bead-Coin Butterfly Top

Instructions:
In just 5 minutes and with just a few safety pins, you can have a gorgeous beaded top for that special performance or troupe number.
Step 1: With the help of a friend, take two identical shawls of your choice and center the top of each triangle (point at the bottom) across your collarbone and shoulders (one in front and one in back). Pin them together at the shoulders and along the sides under your arms.
Step 2: Depending on how long the end ties are, you can either tie or pin the ends around your wrists for a drape sleeve, or tie them and secure right above your elbow with safety pins.
Step 3: If the points of the shawls hang lower than you prefer or for just another design idea, safety pin up the lower center of the shawl by gathering it up with a safety pin and pinning it securely.
Note: You may also hand tack your shawls together for a more permanent top. Then, simply slip it over your head and tie and pin your sleeves in place.
Dynamic troupe idea: Pick two different colors: wear one in front and one in back. Choreograph a dance number that dynamically stages both colors!
