Tribal Temptress Head Wrap
You can achieve a look that is both edgy and elegant with this tribal headwrap technique. Choose scarves that are shiny and silky to emphasize color and movement, and mix in textured, funky fabrics to create dimension and mimic the look of your own hair. Add final accents such as chopsticks, flowers or feathers to personalize your unique look.
Items we used:
•
Tie-Dyed Silk Pieces
(AF06-01) Reg. $19.95
Sale $16.99
•
Confetti Scarf
(AA103) Reg. 17.99
Sale $14.99
• Floral Accents and Chopsticks (available at your local craft store.)
1. Begin by securing a tight ponytail or bun high on the back of your head. This will serve as a stable location for anchoring accessories.
2. Wrap a textured fabric around the base ponytail to instantly add volume and visual interest.
3. Pull one piece of fabric (we used the Tie-Dye pieces) flat across the top of your head to create a wide base.
4. Tuck accent pieces into the design. This not only adds individual flair, but also prevents the scarves and fabric from sliding.
5. Add as many layers as you like to your unique wrap. More fabric pieces or additional tucked accents serve to create a bolder look.
