COIN BOLERO TOP
This bohemian inspired look is perfect for Renaissance fairs, tribal performances or anytime you’re in need of a fun gypsy look! Easy and inexpensive at under $50, the bolero top can achieve several different looks depending on the coin wrap used and your own color combinations.

ITEMS YOU’LL NEED:

For the top:
  • 1 Velvet Coin Loop Hip Wrap [ECVW2] $39.95
  • 1 Bra (Available at any discount store at approx. $10)
  • Safety pins
To complete the look for $274.85: Optional:
  • Silk Veil Fans [AP08-05] $59.95
  • Flower hair clips (Available at any discount store at approx. $10)
  • Coin Earrings [AJCE 06] $4.95
  • Striped Socks (available at your local discount store)
DIRECTIONS:
To fashion the coin bolero top, follow these steps:
  • Pick out a colorful or patterned bra of your choice as the foundation.
  • Choose a color coordinating coin wrap. We used ECVW-5, but feel free to experiment with your own.
  • Drape the coin wrap over your shoulders so you’re holding the ends in the front of you.
  • Knot each end around one bra strap letting the additional length hang down over the cups.
  • Finally, pull the ends of the wrap inwards over the bra cups and secure them at the center of the bra with a safety pin or needle and thread.
To complete the look:
  • Choose 3 color coordinating skirts that match your bolero top. We used a lurex skirt layered over a pleated chiffon skirt and a chiffon circle skirt. The chiffon circle skirt goes on first, followed by the pleated chiffon, and the lurex skirt goes on top.
  • Tie a coin wrap at the waist to bring the look together.
  • The veil that comes with the circle skirt was used as a headwrap. Add striped socks, coin earrings and a flower in your hair to complete this gypsy inspired look. Or add your own accessories built around your own theme!
